General Information for Egypt

The Egyptian Customs Authority has officially announced that the Advance Cargo Information (ACID) system will become mandatory for all air cargo shipments exported to Egypt starting January 1, 2026.

ACI procedure will be required for the shipments meeting the following conditions:

Shipment value is USD 2,000 and above
Shipment weight is 50 kg per AWB and above

For all shipments falling under at least one of the categories above, ACID registration will be required.

Shipments not meeting any of above criteria will continue to move without the mandatory registration.

The working week in Egypt is Sunday to Thursday.
