Almost 10 years after FedEx acquired TNT Express, the final stage of their integration is approaching – and soon you’ll no longer see separate TNT services when booking with Transglobal Express.
FedEx completed its acquisition of TNT Express in May 2016, bringing together FedEx’s extensive global air express network with TNT’s strong European road network. Since then, the two businesses have been progressively integrating their operations to create a broader and more connected delivery network.
What is changing at Transglobal Express?
Very soon, our existing TNT services will be withdrawn and replaced by the FedEx services already available through Transglobal Express.
We will also be adding FedEx® Regional Economy, providing an additional option for shipments within Europe. The service uses FedEx’s integrated European road network and is designed for less urgent, cost-effective, door-to-door deliveries.
While the TNT name will disappear from our service selection, its network and expertise will continue as part of the wider FedEx operation.
We’ll provide further information on when the changes will take effect through Transglobal Express. Until then, both FedEx and TNT services will remain available to compare and book through our website.
