Ongoing developments in the Middle East are affecting transport and logistics networks across the region, causing disruptions on certain routes and at key transit points. Shipments passing through regional transit hubs may also be impacted.
Carriers are adjusting operations in line with regulatory guidance, which may result in temporary capacity constraints and extended transit times.

Emirates
Following recent developments and temporary airspace restrictions in the Middle East, Emirates Courier Express has now resumed booking and acceptance of shipments to the UAE, Australia, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, though service delays may still occur. Services to Bahrain, Qatar and South Africa remain temporarily suspended until further notice.
UPS
UPS services are impacted, and service disruptions are to be expected. This particularly affects shipments to and from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Eritrea, Ethiopia, India, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, Zambia.
UPS is closely monitoring the situation, and have implemented contingency plans to ensure shipments reach their final destinations as quickly as circumstances permit.
Impacted shipments will carry the exception code C5 – Emergency.
From 8 March, UPS will reinstate its surge fee to and from select destinations across the Middle East and Asia, including Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Pakistan, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Iraq, Nepal, Afghanistan, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, India and Israel. This surcharge is implemented during periods of increased shipping volumes, higher demand for network capacity, rising operational costs, and other pressures on the UPS network.
The surcharge is calculated on a per-kilogram basis. As a result, prices will increase incrementally depending on the chargeable weight of each shipment. Quotes on our website are fully inclusive of surge fees.

FedEx/TNT
Following a temporary suspension, services to Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE have resumed for International Priority shipments. Economy and Freight services remain suspended until further notice.
From 5 March, FedEx will reinstate its demand surcharge for all destinations except Europe, the United States, Canada, and Latin America. This surcharge is implemented during periods of increased shipping volumes, higher demand for network capacity, rising operational costs, and other pressures on the FedEx network.

DHL
DHL is monitoring the situation in the Middle East, adjusting routes to reduce disruption, and prioritising employee safety amid widespread airspace closures affecting cargo and passenger flights.
Elevated Risk surcharges now apply to shipments to and from Israel (effective March 3, 2026), Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE (effective March 5, 2026), until further notice.
