As we enter the busiest shipping period of the year, most delivery partners apply temporary peak or demand surcharges. These help carriers cover seasonal costs such as extra capacity, network congestion and additional handling.
With Transglobal Express, there are no hidden extras: during peak season we fold carrier surcharges into the prices you see at quote and checkout. In most cases you won’t see a separate “peak surcharge” line - just the all-in rate for your shipment.
At a glance: when peak surcharges apply
The dates below summarise the effective windows announced by our delivery partners. They vary by carrier and service; some are still to be confirmed and may be updated by the networks.

How surcharges are applied
- What changes in your quote: Many carriers apply demand surcharges per kg (for air express) or per parcel (for domestic/economy). Surcharges can also vary based on destination. We incorporate these directly into our live prices, so what you see is what you pay.
- Handling and size: Shipments sent using UPS services that are large, heavy or nonconveyable may attract Additional Handling or Large Package fees; these are displayed separately in the price you see with us.
- Fuel: As usual, fuel surcharges continue to apply and may also be factored into carrier peak charges; again, these are included in our displayed rates.
Looking ahead: annual rate changes & early 2026 outlook
Peak surcharges begin to taper in January 2026 depending on the service. As is typical each year, the end of peak season also coincides with carriers’ annual general rate reviews, so you can expect further pricing adjustments at the start of 2026 as those standard rate changes take effect. We’ll continue ensuring our displayed prices remain transparent and all-inclusive.
